For the past century, Congregation Tikvat Jacob Beth Torah (CTJ) has served as a pillar of Jewish life and education in the South Bay. We provide innovative Jewish programming, a safe and inclusive space for Jewish worship, and high-quality afterschool and weekend programming to more than 225 youth from across Manhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, Redondo Beach, Torrance, El Segundo, and surrounding communities — regardless of background or financial means.
We invite you to be part of a once-in-a-century celebration of CTJ’s leadership and history. Our Centennial Gala, to be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Proud Bird in Los Angeles will celebrate CTJ and our community partners. The event also will raise funds for scholarships for our Ohren Education Center, which offers afterschool homework time, art, music, language, and cooking classes, and for our teen programs, which emphasize philanthropy, community service, and Jewish culture.
This Centennial Gala is more than a celebration — it’s a powerful opportunity to invest in the next generation of Jewish learning, leadership, and community. Thank you for your generosity and partnership. We can’t wait to celebrate this incredible milestone with you.
